Android and Smart TV Services
Fair Usage Policy: VidZone™ reserves the right to temporarily suspend your access to the Service if, in VidZone™’s opinion, your activity is considered to be excessive. Excessive users may be suspended for one month and then reinstated. Should you reoffend within 3 months, VidZone™ reserves the right to permanently terminate your access to the Service without liability to you. All intellectual property rights in the Service, Content and Adverts belong to VidZone™ or its licensors. You do not have any rights in or to the Service, Content or Adverts other than the right to use each of them in accordance with this Agreement. You may not copy all or any part of the Content or Adverts except where permitted by law but you may link to the Content on Facebook (and people following that link can then view the Content via the Service). Any content stored on your Android device is encrypted and protected by technological protection measures, any circumvention of which may be a criminal offence. Other than as set out in this Agreement, or to the extent that such liability may be not excluded by law, VidZone™ gives no warranty about the quality, functionality, availability, completeness, accuracy or performance of the Service, Adverts or any Content. VidZone™ does not guarantee the Service will always be available or error free and VidZone™ shall not be liable if, for any reason, the Service, Adverts or any Content, is unavailable at any time or for any period. VidZone™ shall use its reasonable commercial endeavours to show Content and Adverts that it considers to be age-appropriate and adhere to any age advisory notices. However, you acknowledge and accept that occasionally content that you may consider to be inappropriate (because, for example, it contains offensive or explicit lyrics) may form part of the Content and/or Adverts, and VidZone™ and its licensors shall not be liable to you in this regard. If you believe that inappropriate content has been displayed you may notify VidZone™ by emailing email@example.com and VidZone™ may, at its discretion, use its reasonable commercial endeavours to investigate your report but shall have no liability to you for any failure or delay in doing so. VidZone™ excludes all liability for loss of business, goodwill, profit, saving or loss or corruption of data or unauthorised access to data and for damage caused to your software, devices or other hardware as a result of using or accessing the Service, whether direct or indirect, and all indirect and consequential losses arising under this Agreement or in connection with the Service. In the event that VidZone™ is liable to you for failure to deliver Content, Adverts or Services, that liability is limited to re-providing the relevant, or comparable, Content, Adverts or Service. VidZone™’s total aggregate liability in any other circumstances is limited to £25 (or equivalent in local currency). This Agreement sets out your sole and exclusive rights in connection with the Service. This Agreement and the above limitations, exclusions and disclaimers apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. However nothing in this Agreement shall limit or exclude VidZone™’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability which may not be properly limited or excluded under applicable law and any statutory rights that you may have as a consumer are not affected by this Agreement.
Rants Limited (trading as VidZone™) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Policy sets out the information that we collect from and about you and how we use it. Please read this Policy carefully. By using any services that we provide (“Services”) you are agreeing with the terms of this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy please do not use our Services.
Rants Limited is a company which is registered in England and Wales with registration number 04309174 and registered office address at 82 Glentham Road, London, SW13 9JJ, UK. For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the “Act”), the data controller is Rants Limited.
Information that we may collect
We may collect and process the following information about you:
- Information that you provide when registering for and/or using the Services including your email address and other contact details.
- A record of any correspondence between you and us.
- Details of transactions that you carry out when using the Services.
- Details of your use of the Services, the resources that you access and the adverts that are displayed.
When you use the Services we may collect information about your device. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual. We use this information for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers.
A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we store on the permanent memory of your device.

Where we store your personal information
The information that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things, the fulfilment of your order, the processing any payment details and the provision of support services. By submitting your personal information, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with this Policy.
All information that you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of Service, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your information transmitted to the Services; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
Uses made of the information
We use information held about you in the following ways:
- To ensure that the Services are presented in the most effective manner for you and for your device.
- To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.
- To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us.
- To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Services, when you choose to do so.
- To notify you about changes to our Services.
We may also use your information, or permit selected third parties to use your information, to provide you with information about goods and services which may be of interest to you and we or they may contact you about these by email using the details that you have provided to us.
In order to provide the Services to you we will also obtain certain information from the device manufacturer which you provided as part of your registration and we may share information that you provide to us with the device manufacturer.
If you do not want us to use your information in this way, or to pass your details on to third parties then you should email us firstname.lastname@example.org. However, you should be aware that this may mean that we are unable to provide the Services to you.
Disclosure of your information
We may disclose your personal information to any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006.
We may disclose your personal information to third parties:
- In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
- If our company, or substantially all of our assets, are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by us about our customers will be one of the transferred assets.
You have the right to ask us not to process your personal information for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you if we intend to use your information for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. If you follow any links from the Services to any third party website, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal information to these websites.
Access to information
You have the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. If you make an access request we may charge you a fee of £10 to cover our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
Any changes we may make to this Policy in the future will be posted on this page and may be notified to you by email.
